Want to apply for a sabbatical but don't know where to start? The Professional Standards committee will explain the sabbatical concept (Type A, B, and C sabbaticals), application process, and benefits for professional growth. Faculty members who have completed sabbaticals will also share their experiences and there will be time for questions and answers.

This workshop will examine teaching practices with a gender lens on curriculum, assessment, student-instructor engagement, inclusion of role models, and gender stereotyping. Also included in this workshop is a discussion on recruitment strategies to increase student enrollment in non-traditional disciplines.

Interested in hearing how others create community in learning spaces? Want to brainstorm what you might do in your learning space to create community? Come in person to this session to dialog with other faculty colleagues about building supportive learning spaces for students.

The training will provide an overview of districtwide IT services offered to employees at Los Rios, including some that are new/changed for Fall 2026 and those that may be familiar (e.g., Service Central, Okta, Zoom).

Beginning in the fall of 2021, I made a series of equity interventions in my classes with the intent to close my success rate gaps. In this session, I will tell a data-informed story and share how I intervened, what my students thought of my efforts, and whether there was any correlation between equity-informed instructional design and equitable student outcomes.

The Human Library is a worldwide initiative that has worked to promote social inclusion and community building with the intent to reduce biases of all kinds. In this informative and interactive session, we will explore how The Human Library has been helping people “unjudge” others through these interactions.

Please note: This is not a workshop or a content-driven session; this is to help you with your questions while you build your courses. Drop-in support for Canvas, course design and accessibility needs - no matter if you're teaching online or in-person. This will be run like office hours. Drop-in whenever you want with your question/concern.

Join us for a quick recap of disability support services and accommodations. We will share trends and resources relevant to serving students with various disabilities. We will have some technologies students may use in class, and auxiliary aides support information. We encourage instructors to join in-person if possible. Whether you are new to CRC, or have some time working in this community, there will be something for you in this session.

Interested in making your classroom trans-inclusive but not sure where to begin? The presenters, Dani Crain (she/they) and Jacob Traugott (they/them), will provide an overview of terminology and basic use of pronouns, share trans-inclusive practices they use in their classrooms, and the feedback they have received from students.
