Beginning in the fall of 2021, I made a series of equity interventions in my classes with the intent to close my success rate gaps. In this session, I will tell a data-informed story and share how I intervened, what my students thought of my efforts, and whether there was any correlation between equity-informed instructional design and equitable student outcomes.

The Human Library is a worldwide initiative that has worked to promote social inclusion and community building with the intent to reduce biases of all kinds. In this informative and interactive session, we will explore how The Human Library has been helping people “unjudge” others through these interactions.

Join us for a quick recap of disability support services and accommodations. We will share trends and resources relevant to serving students with various disabilities. We will have some technologies students may use in class, and auxiliary aides support information. We encourage instructors to join in-person if possible. Whether you are new to CRC, or have some time working in this community, there will be something for you in this session.

This is a comprehensive workshop designed to equip faculty, professional staff, and student workers with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to effectively support undocumented students. This training focuses on raising awareness about the unique challenges and experiences faced by undocumented students and provides actionable strategies for fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment.

The OER Conversion Grant is winding down and the application will close soon. If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to commit. Faculty can earn $2500/category/eligible class. This session will explain your options and the requirements and will count as one of the milestones needed for payment.

This professional learning session invites educators to deepen their understanding of refugee knowledge as a meaningful and lived way of knowing. Drawing on ideas from culturally responsive teaching and the brain alongside a critical refugee studies lens, we will reflect on how relationships, emotion, and lived experiences of displacement influence student learning and how these experiences show up in classrooms.
