Description

Beginning in the fall of 2021, I made a series of equity interventions in my classes with the intent to close my success rate gaps. I had my Black students in mind with these interventions, though each was designed to help all my students demonstrate achievement of course learning outcomes and support the development of a community of scholars. These interventions began before we were able to view our disaggregated success rates, but now we can.

In this session, I will tell a data-informed story and share how I intervened, what my students thought of my efforts, and whether there was any correlation between equity-informed instructional design and equitable student outcomes.
