The librarians and faculty from the English Department are hosting campus-wide reading events featuring literature by authors from the African Diaspora as part of the National African American Read-In (AARI).

The AARI It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

Listening Party for Mychal Threets and NCTE (National Council of Teachers of English, which is the AARI host organization)

  • Date/Time: Thursday, February 12 from 10:00 to 11:30 am

  • Description: Join us for a AARI read-in session! The read-in session is an opportunity to come together as a community to read together, centering African American books and authors.
