Description
Activate career confidence—right from your course or program.
Handshake is the districtwide platform Los Rios uses to connect students with meaningful opportunities: jobs, internships, on-campus roles, and direct access to employer networks. When faculty and staff introduce it, even for a moment, students take action sooner and feel more prepared to take the next step.
This workshop shows simple, practical ways to elevate your existing work—adding Handshake to your syllabus, sharing opportunities through Canvas, and using quick assignments that turn classroom learning into real-world momentum.
For program leaders and administrators, Handshake helps strengthen pathways into high-quality opportunities, supports student persistence, and deepens alignment with the needs of our regional economy—all while keeping the focus on student success.
Join us to explore fast, high-impact strategies that enrich instruction, strengthen student outcomes, and make career connection a seamless part of the Los Rios experience—without adding more to your workload.
