Description

Online students are more invested and more engaged when they feel like their instructor cares about their learning success. This relationship is even more important for underserved students. Conveying empathy, awareness, and our human presence can be done with intention and a toolkit of effective practices.

In this workshop, we will explore what we can do in the first week of a class to lay the foundations for a community of learners that is inclusive, collaborative, and will persist through the entire semester.
