Join us for a dynamic and informative professional development session focused on elevating our understanding of the Latine/x student experience at Cosumnes River College. This training will explore the cultural, academic, and social dimensions that shape the experiences of our Latine/x student population, with an emphasis on equity-minded and student-centered practices.
A central focus of this session is the powerful collaboration between MI CASA Center/Program and the Puente Project—two programs dedicated to supporting Latine/x students from entry to completion. Participants will learn how these programs work together to create a holistic, culturally responsive support system that includes academic guidance, community building, mentorship, and transfer preparation.
This training is ideal for faculty, staff, and administrators seeking to strengthen their role in supporting Latine/x students and advancing institutional equity efforts.
